We met Yakelin’s surgeon today and Yakelin received a thorough pre-op examination. Dr. Romano explained surgical options and ultimately will decide exactly what he will do once she is in the operating room. At the very least he plans to take out the lens which is currently displaced and non-functional. He will operate on the left eye on Thursday morning at 8AM.

After lunch, Yakelin helped teach a Spanish class with Leda at the Kirk while I took a short bike ride around the neighborhood. Then I went for a dental check up and cleaning, courtesy of Dr. Ray. Sincere thanks Dr. Ray and staff!

Tonight Yakelin cooked a traditional sweet strawberry-flavored treat called Atol. George had the chance to taste it and said he liked it. One of these days I will get a picture of George on here. He has taken great care of us and has accompanied us to most of our various appointments. Also, thanks to Sally who brought a yummy chicken dinner tonight!
